3 Peaks Charity Challenge – Macmillan Cancer Support

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

Myself and 3 friends have been inspired by Macmillan Cancer Support charity to complete the National 3 Peaks Challenge 07/05/2009. We will be organising this event by ourselves so we can make sure all the money you donate to us goes directly into improving the lives of people affected by cancer. The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks, respectively, in England, Wales and Scotland, within 24 hours. Ben Nevis (Scotland – 1344m) Scafell Pike (England – 978m) Snowdon (Wales – 1085m) please sponsor us online http://www.justgiving.com/lewisq we promise to keep you all updated with video diary and photos of our training and the event itself. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Motor Trade – What is Demonstration Cover ?

Thursday, December 17th, 2009

While quoting prospective clients this week for motor trade insurance i have been asked what is demonstration cover and how does it work?

This can be added as an extension to most motor trade policies.  The cover provided extends the policy to allow the prospective purchaser of an insured vehicle to drive such vehicle before deciding on purchase, provided that such person;

1) Is not in the employment of the insured

2) Is not a member of the family of the insured or of any named driver

3) Is accompanied at all times by the insured or by any person named for Motor Trade use on the Certificate of motor insurance

4) Holds or has held a FULL United Kingdom driving licence to drive such a vehicle and is not disqualified from holding or obtaining such a licence

5) Observes, fulfils and is subject to the terms and conditions of this policy

Insurers usually apply a charge for this extension .

I hope this is of use to you whether you are a future buyer or seller of a vehicle.
